Rutter: Suite Lyrique
Rutter’s new work for solo harp and strings is now available on hire. Based on the musical material from Rutter’s popular Suite Antique, this work is accessible for amateur or professional performers. It is popular with audiences and has proved an excellent addition to the harp concerto repertoire.
Lane: Another Night Before Christmas
This work for narrator and full orchestra sets a story by the poet Carol Ann Duffy. Charming and engaging this is a wonderful piece for any Christmas concert.
CONSTANT LAMBERT
August 2011 marks the 60th Anniversary of his death.
Constant Lambert was a defining figure of British musical life in the 1920s. He was a conductor and director, as well as a composer, arrange and writer on music. He cofounded the Royal Ballet and was the first UK composer to write for Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes.

PHYLLIS TATE
2011 marks the Centenary of her birth.
Tate (1911-1985) wrote very successfully for children, with works including A Pride of Lions (a 25 minute cantata based on an ancient Persian story, suitable for performance by 8-11 year olds) and The Story of Lieutenant Cockatoo (a 20 minute staged work for unison voices and ensemble).

GABRIEL JACKSON
will celebrate his 50th birthday in 2012.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus has co-commissioned a new work which they will premiere early in 2012. The piece is for chorus, cello, and 2 percussionists and is entitled To the Field of Stars. It will be available on hire in 2012.
